On May 28, 2025, K-Hiragawa Photonics Technology (Suzhou) Co., LTD, a wholly-owned subsidiary of K-Hiragawa Technology, held a grand opening and production ceremony. Government leaders from Kunshan, important clients and partners of K-Hiragawa Photonics, and the company's senior management team gathered together to witness this important milestone in the company's history.
Introduction
As a publicly listed company that has been deeply involved in the functional device field for more than ten years, K-Hiragawa Technology has always adhered to the development concept of "technological innovation" and serves the global consumer electronics and new energy industries. With the explosive growth of artificial intelligence, 5G communication, and data center construction, photonics technology has become a core track of the country's new high-quality productivity. Based on this strategic judgment, the company invested in and established a wholly-owned subsidiary, K-Hiragawa Photonics, and formed a technology R&D team led by 5 doctors and 25 masters, to fully tackle the breakthrough in the localization of high-speed silicon photonic chips and optical modules.
High-speed optical modules, as core components of AI computing networks, data centers, and 5G communication, are the "key bridge" for realizing optoelectronic signal conversion and supporting high-speed transmission of massive data. They are currently widely used in the networking of servers and switches in AI computing centers, cloud service data centers, and 5G base stations.

Currently, K-Hiragawa Photonics has achieved three key advancements: First, it has established a full-chain capability of "chip design-packaging testing-module mass production"; second, the first batch of silicon photonic chips have completed overseas wafer fabrication, with design performance comparable to international first-class standards; third, the first demonstration production line has been officially put into operation and is about to release production capacity.
These achievements are inseparable from the high-quality business environment and the support of the Party committees and governments at all levels in Kunshan, the technical collaboration of all strategic partners, and the hard work of all K-Hiragawa people!
Future
In the future, K-Hiragawa Photonics will continue to focus on two major strategies: First, to fully break through the core technologies of high-speed optical modules and silicon photonic chips such as 800G and 1.6T; second, to deepen the cross-border integration of "light-electricity-intelligence", providing high-reliability and low-power consumption optical connection solutions for domestic digital infrastructure, allowing Kunshan manufacturing to shine on the global technology map!
